Growing Food & Food Security

One of the key sites that the project is interested in is places in Lewisham where residents have been growing food, for sale or for their own use.  We recognise that allotments have a long history in Lewisham, from World War Two ration supplementing to today’s interest in organic food.  We also know that all along people have loved growing things!  Do you have an allotment or food growing story to share?  Did you have a patch of land years ago or memories of family growing their own veg or fruit?   Are you passionate about gardening to eat now?   Get in touch!   We would love to hear your stories.   dominique.santos@gold.ac.uk   g.nicolescu@gold.ac.uk
